NFC Integration

Integrated NFC (Near Field Communication) provides the ability to identify assets, or users, by simply tapping the mobile device to a fixed tag on the asset, or an identity fob carried by the users.

Asset tagging is simple. With a wide variety of NFC tags available, from adhesive backed to solid ARB plastic tags, which can be fixed to the asset and are nearly indestructible.

User NFC Fobs provide you with the option of sharing devices easier, by not having to login to the device using a user name and password. The fob incorporates all this information, so tapping the fob to the device identifies the users details, logging them in without fuss.

SWOTS

Standard Workshop Operational Times, is a function within Assetminder, that allows the user to build preconfigured instructions and labour times. These can be a single line item or a consolidation of single line items, that have the ability to set target times for certain tasks. In time this operation provides the data to begin benchmarking labour target hours against actual labour clocked times.

Once you begin building your own SWOTS it becomes easier to replicate a lot of tasks.

Integrated Workshop Equipment

Assetminder has a vast amount of experience in this field, working with our partner Workshop.net. Our Software creates a seamless link from workshop equipment, including but not limited to, roller brake testers. This unique integration between equipment and Assetminder provides the ability to securely capture, for example, brake test results and feed them directly to an Inspection Report, reducing the need to reprint and store brake test results.

The integration process involves connecting the equipment to a Central Control System or Network. This enables data sharing and control by a single interface. With this type of integration, workshops can anticipate, identify and resolve issues faster, provide better customer service and generate higher profits.

Axle Map Recording

A standard feature of the Assetminder App is the ability to record tyre thread, tyre pressure, brake lining wear and wheel torque, all from one very cleverly designed axle map. The App even stores a default tyre size, against the asset, making it simple to confirm tyre size. Another new feature, included in the same axle map, is the ability to record the tyre manufactured date, now a DVSA requirement.

Spare Parts/ Barcoding

We make adding parts to a job easy, by integration with our Integrated Barcode Scanning Feature. Once your spare parts are barcoded its just a matter of scanning the barcode label, using the mobile device. Barcodes can be generated by Assetminder, or by using the a manufacturer's label. Similar to other functions within the system, this will then synchronise with the Web App, in turn managing your stock.

Labour

It's as easy as ticking a box to record labour to a job.

It's simple to record one or multiple technicians' hours to individual job cards. All clocking is then synchronized to the Web App, building your labour costs in real time.

Time, attendance and duty clocking, such as cleaning, shunting or collecting parts, when a tech has down time between jobs, provides you with a clear understanding of attended, worked or other duties performed, or dare I say it, lost labour time
