Axis Fleet Management is a leading specialist in long-term contract hire and fleet management services. They operate over 2,500 assets, including trucks, trailers and rigids.

Axis recently announced the roll-out of its mobile maintenance division aimed at enhancing the company’s nationwide on-site trailer maintenance and repair offering. As part of the roll-out, Axis have invested in engineers and vehicles to service customers across the UK, and plan to also introduce on-site servicing of its hired tractor units.

In order to manage the maintenance & repair of such a large fleet, Axis chose Assetminder, a cloud based fleet maintenance & workshop management system.

Assetminder was designed to address the most pressing challenges of fleet and maintenance managers in the UK; reducing downtime and increasing efficiencies, whilst driving down costs.

Each of Axis’s mobile engineers will be equipped with a tablet PC, on which they will be able to create & complete job-cards and safety inspections using the Assetminder app. Axis customers receive inspection sheets within minutes via email or they can log on to the Assetminder customer portal to view the work carried out.

The completed job-cards & inspections automatically update the vehicle history file on the central system in the office, and financial data is auto-uploaded to their Sage 50 accounts.
